South Dakota Small Business Development Center

OUR MISSION

The primary mission of the South Dakota Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is to promote economic development and the creation and retention of jobs and wealth in South Dakota. The SBDC accomplishes this mission by providing professional management and technical assistance to South Dakota's present and future small businesses. Most services of the SBDC are provided to you free of charge through a self-recipient contract through the West River Economic Development Coalition with the University of South Dakota and the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Two full-time professional consultants provide free and confidential management assistance to small businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs. These consultants also travel to outlying communities on a regular basis.
